Easter Holiday Activities
at Wandlebury Country Park
Prompt start 10.00am to 12.30pm:

Led by experienced field teachers and held at Wandlebury Stable Rooms. Bring a drink and a snack and dress for being outside! Why not stay on for a picnic and explore the Country Park afterwards?

Wednesday 9 April
Tree and Flower Fairies
Meet some of the trees and spring flowers and the fairy rhymes that go with them. Make your own natural
fairy belongings.

Tuesday 15 April
Holiday Orienteering
Introduction to orienteering. Learn how to use a map, get plenty of exercise and find new routes through our beautiful country park. New maps for 2014, with more controls over a greater area.

Wednesday 16 April
Robin Hood Morning
Try real archery, then make and decorate your own simple bow and arrow. Age 8+.

Easter Fun Day at Wandlebury
Have fun taking part in the Wandlebury photo-trail egg hunt, win an Easter egg and make Easter crafts. Bring a packed lunch and dress according to the weather, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking essential:
£7.50 per child (members £5.50) adults free.

May Day Morris Dancing
at Wandlebury Country Park
Meet on the Picnic Field and watch the Devil’s Dyke Morris Men carry on the tradition of dancing, to greet the summer sun, as it rises above the woodlands at Wandlebury.
Free event—donations welcome.
Pre-book your breakfast — bacon roll and a hot drink £2.50 at the Stable Rooms, 6.30am to 7.00am.

Saturday 10 May — 11.00am to 4.00pm

May Celebration and Tree Festival
at Wandlebury Country Park
Head to the Stable Rooms and Paddock for a celebration of spring, trees and traditional activities. See the heavy horses at work, watch the skills of the craftsmen.
Be entertained by Maypole dancing. Dress as a Greenman or May Queen and join in the crafts.

Bring a picnic to enjoy the day.
Drop in anytime. Free event — donations
welcome to support the park. Recommended donation £3.00ad. / £2.00ch.

Wednesday 21 May
10th Anniversary Celebration -

Coton Country Reserve

Meet at the Martin Car Park in Coton.

5.00pm to 7.30pm — drop-in any time
Exhibition at the Barn
Meet the people involved in creating and looking after the Reserve and its plans.

7.30pm to 9.30pm
Guided Walk & Beacon
to Red Meadow Hill. Hilltop Quiz at the beacon. Free event. Recommended donation £3.00 adult / £2.00 children.

Half Term Holiday Activities

Local reptiles and amphibians
Guided stroll around Wandlebury searching for common frogs, toads, newts, lizards, slowworms and grass snakes. Aimed at adults and older children.

Wednesday 28 May — 10am to 12.30pm
Bees and wasps
Learn about our helpful buzzy friends, see how they live and work together, followed by related craft activities.
