Leper ChapelStorytellingTheatre

An exploration of Shakespeare’s great problem play, Be Absolute for Death is a new work, cutting and pasting Shakespeare’s text into exciting new configurations.

Employing choral work, storytelling and in situ:’s hallmark vocal techniques, Be Absolute for Death is a fresh take on Measure For Measure’s world of sleaze, sex workers and authoritarian government.

Remind you of anything in today’s world?

in situ has produced many challenging and powerful Shakespeare productions, many of them in conjunction with CPPF – including  the nightmarish world of abused and broken dolls in Macbeth; the weird world of mirrors in Twelfth Night and the Post-Apocalypse version of King Lear in the ancient landscape of Wandlebury Ring.

As urgent and compelling now as it was when it was written more than 400 years ago.
