On 25 September, a band of 1066 warriors left York to trek south by horse and foot. Details here.

On October 14th they will arrive at the site of the Battle of Hastings, 950 years to the day that King Harold met William, Duke of Normandy’s invading force.

On Tuesday 4 October they will be arriving at Wandlebury Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness a reenactment of a historical march. All welcome to come to the park and greet the warriors as they arrive and wave them off on their onward journey.  Groups also welcome but please book in advance if you plan to bring a group.

Follow @EnglishHeritage on Twitter for live updates including unforeseen changes to the route.
