Families on a guided walk in the Iron Age Ring ditch at Wandlebury

Everyone is welcome on these regular walks - come and join the friendly team of volunteers leading our weekly Healthy Walks. Stepping out on Thursday mornings an extended walk sets off from the Stable Rooms or Tadlow Granary at 10 am, with a shorter walk leaving at 10.30 am, then both groups return for tea, coffee and refreshments together at 11 am.

As our regular walkers will testify, walking is a safe way to a healthier lifestyle and the opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow walkers is the other important ingredient. New walkers are always welcome - and the walks are organised so that everyone can walk at their own pace.

The walks are part of the Walking for Health Initiative and we are grateful for support towards running these walks from South Cambridgeshire District Council. The walks are free of charge. (Parking FREE for Cambridge Past, Present & Future members - £2 parking fee per car otherwise)

During the summer months, Wandlebury provides a wonderful setting for outdoor music and theatre. In recent years we have been host to picnic concerts in the Cambridge Summer Music Festival and fantastic theatre performances by insitu Theatre, OCRAS and Rain or Shine Theatre Company. Many of these productions provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the setting sun in the Park on summer evenings.

Leper ChapelTogether with the Friends of the Leper Chapel, we regularly host events such as concerts, poetry readings, storytelling, theatre and art exhibitions at the Chapel. See our events page for details of forthcoming events.

We have developed a close link with insitu Theatre who have created innovative productions especially for performance at the Chapel.

"The Leper Chapel is one of Cambridge's magical spaces. Next to a busy road, opposite the football stadium and along from an unattractive medley of superstores, it is an unexpected oasis of tranquillity, mystery and beauty". Richard Spaul - insitu Artistic Director
