Cambridge City Council ecologists, Cambridge Geological Society and the Cam Valley Form will have a range of activities and information about the nature reserve, the ancient freshwater spring and the Hobson’s Brook. You can find out what creatures live in the nature reserve with hands-on activities such as stream dipping and mini-beasts.

Location/Getting there

The Reserve is south of Addenbrookes Hospital/Biomedical Campus. It is just south of the bridge that crosses the railway line. It is reached via a footpath that leads from the Cycle Path between Addenbrookes and Shelford.

From Cambridge it is best reached by cycling or taking the guided bus to Addenbrookes/Biomedical Campus and then walking.

There is no parking for the reserve but there is parking for Addenbrookes Hospital or at Babraham Road Park & Ride.

There are no facilities at the nature reserve. Nearest toilets/facilities are at Addenbrookes or the Clay Farm Community Centre.
