Support us Our appeals Butterfly Plaques Order here You can get involved with our new pollinator garden by dedicating a butterfly plaque to a special someone at the beautiful and historic Wandlebury Country Park. The plaques will be displayed on the historic wall next to the garden, which is inside the Ring walled garden on wires where the espalier fruit trees once grew. The new garden has been designed by a volunteer with pollinator friendly plants to attract butterflies, moths, bees and wasps with a variety of food sources and habitat. These in turn will help pollinate the nearby orchard. The unique butterfly plaques have been designed by celebrated nature artist Eleanor Chaney and are made in Britain from stainless steel. You can choose from four native British butterflies which, along with all invertebrates are at risk due to habitat loss. peacock brimstone small blue comma There is a minimum suggested donation of £199 for each plaque. This covers the costs of the displayed plaque, a donation towards the maintenance of the pollinator garden to keep it looking good all year round and to support our work to care for and share heritage and green spaces in Cambridge. The plaques make a wonderful gift any time of the year or to celebrate a special event such as a milestone birthday or wedding anniversary, to mark a marriage, the birth of a child or in memory of a loved one or treat yourself! You can personalise the plaques with a 4 line dedication - please put this in the comments box. This is how each plaque will appear: Cambridge Past, Present & Future are grateful to South Cambridge District Council Community Chest and the Cambridge Water Pebble Fund for the grants awarded to create the garden.
