Cambridge Past, Present & Future have launched a new crowdfunder to raise £10,000 to raise vital funds to

Protect Cambridge’s Nature

backed by Save our Wild Isles Community Fund and BA Better World Community Fund

Between May 22nd and June 3rd 2023 every pound donated becomes £4 so that in Winter 23/24 we can:

  • Improve Cambridge’s green spaces to meet the needs of a growing, ageing and more diverse community
  • Maximise the benefits of green spaces in Cambridge for nature and climate mitigation
  • Helping people to get involved with nature recovery to combat climate change and biodiversity loss by offering volunteering opportunities
  • Inspire more people to get outdoors and connect with their local environment & heritage places

The funds raised from the crowdfunder will go towards activities involving volunteers who will:

  • Restore woodland and scrub to capture carbon and improve habitat
  • Lay new hedges
  • Improve flower meadows
  • Care for orchards and collect fruit for food banks
  • Install and maintain bat and bird boxes

Every £10 given will become £40, £50 becomes £200 and £250 becomes £1,000! That means that we only need £2,500 in donations to achieve the target of £10,000.
